Clubs
Student Council is comprised of representatives from each class that perform service projects throughout the school year. Some examples include the Thanksgiving Food Drive and helping out at special events. These students provide many hours of service to the school.
Students must read 2500 pages to obtain Super Reader status. Super Super Reader status is obtained when they read 5000 pages. Students receive prizes every 500 pages. Super Super Readers are honored on a plaque at the end of the school year. The students enjoy an end-of-the-year field trip as an additional reward for their hard work and persistence.
Hawthorne Choir has many exciting performances scheduled this year. It is comprised of 4th grade students and thy will be working very hard to be ready for their performances.

December 8 - City Market/Nursing Home
December 15 - Winter Program at Hawthorne (2 performances)
April 19 - Fine Arts Festival
