On Tuesday, January 24, thirty-one students from Hawthorne Elementary School enjoyed a limo ride to the McDonald’s restaurant at Shortridge and Washington St. Students who sold 20 items in the PTA Fall Fundraiser earned this special trip. These students were treated to a free lunch of their choice and play time in the PlayPlace! Many thanks to Mrs. Kelly Berry, Mrs. Bilyeu, Mrs. Lisa Smith and the Hawthorne PTA for a fun outing for a very deserving group of kids. The PTA is very supportive of many activities at Hawthorne and has been a driving force behind our fundraising efforts for the new playground.
