MISSION STATEMENT

We, the staff of Hawthorne Elementary, in partnership with our community, developing socially, emotionally, intellectually, and physically.  We are dedicated to offering a positive learning environment, which encourages each child to be a successful learner with high student achievement.  We actively support the belief that a positive school and home environment will foster a love of lifelong learning.

 School Profile

Hawthorne Elementary opened in 1966 and went through extensive renovation in 1990.  In 1998, the Hawthorne Community Wellness Center opened to provide health care to students and families in its community.  In 2000, Hawthorne became a uniformly dressed school.  The vision for Hawthorne is to be a school of continuous improvement.  To accomplish this vision, the focus is centered on three distinct goals.  They are to increase student achievement, increase parent involvement and build community partners.
